Exciting Things To do With Your Wife

1. Plan a date night. Whether it is going out to dinner at your favorite restaurant, or staying home to watch movies.

2. Share a good book. Read an excerpt from a book you are reading, and if you don’t have a book get one!

3. Dance with her. Ok so you have two left feet, play your favorite love song and prance around the room. Make it fun! Taking dance lessons doesn’t hurt either.

4. Plan a mini vacation. Find local attractions you can go to. Whether it is for the day or for the weekend, spend time together outside of the house every now and then.

5. Take up a hobby with her. Do you enjoy spending time at the golf range? Take her with you. Do you like playing video games? Find one you can play together. You don’t have to do everything together, but find something you can enjoy as a couple.

6. Open a bank account specifically for the two of you. Call it the “Love” account. Use this for emergencies, special occasions, planning a vacation, or buying gifts for each other. There is a catch; both of you must agree “together” on how and when the money should be spent.

7.Keep a journal. Write down all the wonderful things you have done in your relationship as a reminder. When things get tough, it’s good to look back and see how much love you have for each other.

8.Pamper each other. Take time to give each other a massage, brush each other’s hair, give each other a manicure or pedicure.

9.Find at least one recipe and cook it with her. This is a great way to show off your cooking skills. If you don’t have any, you can at least read off the ingredients and help her mix the food.

10.Create a home movie. Make her the star of the show. Write out a script and have her act it out. Let her dress up for the part in a cute costume! If you want this to be a private movie, make sure it is clearly labeled and put in a place where only the two of you can find it.

11. Start a scrapbook project with her. Take all the pictures from your vacation, honeymoon, or other special occasion and put it in a scrapbook. Decorate it with your favorite colors or use a theme such as sports, holidays or birthdays.

12. Do something crazy together. Have a pillow fight. “T.P.” each other’s car. Make crank calls to each other on the phone.

13. Learn a foreign language. It’s amazing how many languages we already incorporate into our daily conversation. Speak to each other in this language frequently. Write love letters to each other using only this language.

14. Go to a sporting event. Choose favorite teams and cheer the team on even if you aren’t a fan.

15. Renew your vows. It is extremely important to remember the reasons you got married in the first place. Show her that you cherish the marriage and want to spend the rest of your life loving her.

16. Take a cruise to another country. Pick a place exotic and far away. Make her feel like a millionaire!

17. Fly to another city or state for the weekend or for the day and have dinner. Pack all her clothes, or just buy her new ones while you are there! If you plan to stay overnight, pick a nice hotel close to a popular area with great restaurants and lots of shopping!

18. Have a picnic outside (or inside depending on the weather). Fill a picnic basket full of her favorite snacks. Perhaps even a bottle of her favorite wine or sparkling beverage. Don’t forget the blanket!

19. Have a party night! Rent or buy a karaoke machine, invite some friends over and have fun! Let the kids join in if they are old enough. Make sure to have plenty of appetizers and lots of room for singing and dancing!

20. If she likes the outdoors, take her camping. Rent a cabin or go all out and buy a tent and sleep outside. Take a hike up a mountain or through the woods. You never know what kind of wildlife you may discover along the way.

21. Work on a d-i-y project. Does she want new curtains in the living room? Have you been secretly wishing for a new wet bar in the basement? Stop putting it off and get it done.

22. Go on another honeymoon. It doesn’t have to be far, but make sure you dress up in a tux or nice suit. Have her put on a fancy dress. Re-enact your wedding day. If you never went on a honeymoon to begin with, make it special. Carry her over the threshold of the hotel room. Order room service with all her favorite foods.

23. Plant a garden in the backyard. If you don’t have a yard, find some small herbs or flowers you can grow in the kitchen.

24. Go fishing at a nearby lake or beach. If you are real adventurous, make reservations on a chartered a boat.

25. Go visit every national park, monument or landmark in your state.

26. Start a business. Whether it is selling products or services, use your talents and professional know-how and turn it into a small profit. It doesn’t have to be a million-dollar business, but working together as a team is the whole point.

27. Rent and exotic car, boat, or other recreational vehicle for the weekend.

28. Get in the car and go for a drive. Plan to drive someplace nice, like the cliff overlooking the ocean, or to a lookout spot at a local park.

29. Buy a telescope and look for the constellations with her. Have a contest and see who counts the most stars in 5 minutes. See if you can find any “falling stars” and make a wish.

30. Have a pajama party. Play music from when you were in high school. Eat junk food and play games too! (Pajamas are optional).

Some really great ideas. It is a good thing to have alot in common and I have to admit, reading to my wife is one of my favorite things to do. Usually she'll get a glass of wine and we'll sit on the chaise and she'll lay her head on my shoulder and help me turn the pages while I have my arm around her and read to her. Definitely a way to get closer.

Sounds like she really enjoys spending time with you reading. May I ask what do you read to her?

Right now we are reading Sidney Poitier's "THE MEASURE OF A MAN" his spiritual autobiography. It's a very interesting and entertaining read. Typically we read from Ebony, Black Enterprise, Essence, Bishop T.D. Jakes Book "REPOSITION YOURSELF" and a lot of the Reader's Digest condensed books as well as a variety of poetry and other reads as they cross our minds. We have alot of books that we purchased over the years but because of working too much, didn't get around to reading so now we are catching up on us.

Great ideas! Playing innocent board games is also a great way to connect. Cooking something together that you both love! Your ideas are much more creative. Just thought I'd add a few basics!

Yes..Agreed..

Love and care are the most necessary elements, which counts for the stability and longevity of a marriage.

But Efforts need to be made from both the sides, to make the marriage bond a success..
